Position Overview
As Upwardly Global’s Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our visual storytelling. As part of the marketing and communications department, you will collaborate across the organization to design compelling materials that engage jobseekers, employer and corporate partners, supporters, and donors. Your creativity and attention to detail will help ensure our message is clear, impactful, and visually appealing across all our communication products digitally and in print.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Upwardly Global's total compensation package for employees. Position Overview
As Upwardly Global’s Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our visual storytelling. As part of the marketing and communications department, you will collaborate across the organization to design compelling materials that engage jobseekers, employer and corporate partners, supporters, and donors. Your creativity and attention to detail will help ensure our message is clear, impactful, and visually appealing across all our communication products digitally and in print.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and evolve our visual brand identity while ensuring consistency across all platforms and products.
- Design and produce digital and print assets, including social media graphics, email templates, reports, brochures, flyers, presentations, and event materials.
- Create and maintain templates in Canva for internal use to ensure brand consistency and efficiency.
- Design iconography and infographics.
- Edit photos and create video graphics to enhance visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to design materials for marketing campaigns.
- Manage work with external vendors including print production, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective results.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to keep our visuals fresh and relevant.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital and print work.
- Excellent eye for detail, typography, and layout.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with video editing and/or motion graphics is a plus.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse audiences.
- A passion for our mission and changing the perception of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the U.S. and furthering immigrant workforce inclusion.

- Central Region: $60,000 - $70,000 USD per year
- Western/Eastern Region: $65,000 - $75,000 USD per year
