The Sr. Manager will lead, manage, and develop the Talent team to ensure completion of annual goals while building and managing strategic F500 accounts, including HiredScore partners and select UpGlo Access partners. This position will identify opportunities for growth, funding, and strategic engagement to support immigrant inclusion in the workforce. The Sr. Manager will also share leadership of strategic special projects, such as Connect Integration and Agentforce Recruiter Agent, as needed. Additionally, they will support the team in developing 6 and 12-month learning briefs on their respective areas of work and aid in the evaluation of the Employer Engagement Model to assess program impact and identify opportunities for strategic improvement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the Talent team (two Account Managers and one Talent Associate) to ensure the successful completion of annual goals by setting clear objectives, establishing performance metrics, and aligning tasks with the organization’s mission.
- Regularly provide feedback and coaching to team members to ensure growth and the ability to meet goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss progress, address challenges, and encourage a two-way dialogue for feedback and support.
- Implement training and development programs tailored to individual team members’ needs, enhancing their skills and competencies relevant to their roles.
- Promote collaboration and teamwork within the Talent team and across departments, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovative problem-solving.
- Evaluate team performance through structured assessments and provide constructive feedback, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
- Create an inclusive and supportive team environment that values diversity and empowers each member to contribute their unique perspectives and talents.
F500 Account Management
- Work with the National Director of Employer Engagement to identify strategic employer engagement aligned with UpGlo’s candidate skill profiles.
- Build and manage strategic F500 accounts, including HiredScore partners and select UpGlo Access partners.
- Identify opportunities for growth, funding, and strategic engagement to support immigrant inclusion in the workforce.
Project Management
- Share leadership of strategic special projects with the National Director of Employer Engagement as required (e.g., Connect Integration, Agentforce), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and resource allocation.
- Utilize project management best practices, including defining project scope, setting timelines, and establishing milestones to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Employ project management tools such as Asana to manage tasks, monitor project timelines, and maintain accountability among team members.
- Leverage Salesforce for tracking project-related data, managing stakeholder relationships, and analyzing performance metrics to inform future strategies and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations to ensure lessons learned are captured and disseminated.
- Foster a culture of transparency and communication, encouraging team members to provide updates and share insights throughout the project lifecycle.
Thought Leadership & Fundraising
- In alignment with the Employer Partnership (EP) strategy, map target partners and services, collaborating with the National Director of Employer Engagement and VP of Development to develop leads and pitch UpGlo’s Employer work.
- Identify and pursue thought leadership opportunities to position UpGlo as an authority in the field, including engaging with media outlets, speaking at conferences, and participating in panel discussions to raise awareness and attract potential partners.
- Collaborate with the VP of Development to cultivate funders interested in employer practice change and public/private partnerships, leveraging insights from thought leadership activities to strengthen proposals and initiatives.
Learning & Evaluation
- Support the team in developing 6 and 12-month learning briefs related to their respective areas of work.
- Assist in the 6 and 12-month Employer Engagement Model evaluation to assess program impact and identify opportunities for strategic improvement.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- An entrepreneurial, creative thinker who welcomes ideation, learning, and co-creation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in workforce development, account management, immigration, human resources, or diversity at progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Excellent public speaking and training facilitation skills – capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills in persuasion and negotiation.
- Project management experience, including managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
